Scott Krneta
Scott Krneta is a graduate of Cornell College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. From an early age, he felt called to work directly with people and to support them in improving their lives. He began his professional career at Interventions, DuPage, serving as an Addiction Counselor in an adolescent residential rehabilitation program. This early experience provided a strong foundation in therapeutic support, client engagement, and behavioral intervention.
Scott later joined the Social Service Department of the Circuit Court of Cook County, a probationary service agency, where he has dedicated more than three decades of distinguished service. Over the course of his tenure, he has held a wide range of roles across all south-side Cook County offices, demonstrating consistent adaptability, and deep commitment to community-based corrections.
His positions have included Intensive DUI Officer, Diversified Officer, Administrative Sanctions Officer, Sex Offender Specialist Officer, and Court Liaison. Through these roles, Scott has managed diverse caseloads and worked with clients from a broad range of backgrounds. His specialized work in monitoring sex offenders stands out as a hallmark of his career, where he successfully guided defendants through court-ordered Supervision or Conditional Discharge, helping them fulfill their obligations and avoid alternative, more punitive sentences.
With extensive expertise in probation standards, Scott is highly skilled in providing informed recommendations and developing compliance strategies that enable clients to successfully complete community-based correctional programs in lieu of incarceration. His career reflects a commitment to public service, rehabilitation, and the belief that individuals can achieve meaningful change when given proper guidance and accountability.
