Scott Krneta
Scott Krneta is a Cornell College graduate with a B.A. in Psychology. Scott decided early on that he wanted to work with people and help them improve their lives. He started his career at Interventions, DuPage, as an Addiction Counselor in an adolescent residential rehabilitation program after college.
After honing his skills there, he decided to work for the Social Service Department of the Circuit Court of Cook County. This department is a probationary service for Cook County. Scott has worked for the Social Service Department for over 3 decades, in all capacities, as an Officer across all offices on the south side of Cook County. Scott has had many positions in his department: Intensive DUI Officer, Diversified Officer, Administrative Sanctions Officer, Sex Offender Specialist Officer, and Court Liaison. He has served many demographics and handled a wide range of cases. For over 20 years, his specialty was monitoring Sex Offenders and helping them through their court ordered Supervision or Conditional Discharge. He successfully helped his defendants complete all their requirements in lieu of alternative sentences.
He is extremely knowledgeable about probation standards and can apply recommendations to help clients successfully complete community corrections in lieu of incarceration.
