MITIGATION REPORTS

Brighten Days specializes in delivering two types of custom Mitigation Reports designed to assist attorneys and their clients in achieving favorable outcomes during sentencing:

1. Mitigation Summary Report

A concise overview of the defendant’s psycho-social history, this report summarizes relevant background information for the court. It is most commonly used where a brief, yet professional summary is appropriate.

2. Mitigation Packet Report

Typically used when a comprehensive report is needed that goes beyond the summary version. It may include:

  • Multiple interviews (with the defendant and relevant individuals)

  • Support letters

  • External documentation (e.g., school, medical, or employment records)

  • Photos and/or videos

  • Arguments supporting mitigation and relief from maximum sentencing
